he dark expanse was full of color and beauty, swirls of stardust and puffs of clouds made by the destruction of old planets that were no longer needed and had reached the end of their time. A natural occurrence, truly, and yet a beautiful one that will always be marveled at no matter the timeline or lifeform.
At the center of it all, of such creation and beautiful destruction, was Oberon. He was a master of his craft, certain of his abilities and vision for what he wanted to decorate such a void of nothingness. There were never any exceptions…until he met you, and ever since that day, there was no moment where he did not look for your light flickering and shining through the darkness.
He wasn’t sure just what it was about you, but that didn’t stop his heart from wishing and body from yearning. He was dreadfully smitten with you, keeping you by his side so that you would never be destroyed by his ruling. He doesn’t care if it is favoritism, nor does he care if you ever wanted to complete the usual life cycle of a star, you were never going to join the horrible beauty of dust that many study.
No, you would stay with him until he ever found an end, which was impossible, therefore you were never going to leave him. Your little light was going to continue to shine for him, and the day he ever sees it dwindle is the day the universe comes to an end.
Once more he was looking for you, looking for that familiar light. His expression showed nothing, stern and aloof until his eyes landed on a familiar glow between clouds of dust. There was a small quirk of his lips before he made his way over, voice quiet and soft, yet still stern.
“Starlight,” He calls to you, “Why ever do you hide from me so easily? I look all over for you, the least you could do is shine a bit brighter for me to see you.”
