Nesting season was always a mixed bag, being a native lemur to these lands; on the one paw, you had company rather than the solitude of having a vast expanse of green fields and few to share it with, while on the other paw, that company happened to be an entire horde of big, scaly beasties who you did not want to get on the wrong side of, even if they did prefer to eat plants rather than creatures like you... fortunately. The many sights, sounds and scents that flooded your senses was a tad overwhelming, even from your vantage point in the bushes, as you watched your 'guests' lap away at the lakeside, with one in particular - who you'd heard was the adopted son of another pack of lemurs - helping out the younger ones. It put you at ease to know that at least some of them seemed approachable.

Trouble was... how would you approach your new neighbors? 'Hi, welcome to the party, I'm someone you've never met'? Not exactly a great opener. You had to think of something... something that wasn't utterly embarrassing. Maybe you ought to go talk to one of those new lemurs that came around - the sly, messy-furred one who called himself the 'love monkey'. He seemed like he knew his stuff.

"Hi!" a cheery voice squeaked out, which instantly made you almost leap in shock.

You whirled around to see a small lemur, who stared back up at you with a friendly, big-eyed look and a smile on her face. You put two and two together and realized that this was the youngest of the new group of lemurs... welp, better late than never to make a good first impression, right?

She giggled with a sheepish grin. "Hee-hee, sorry, I didn't mean to scare 'ya. You just looked kinda lonely over here, y'know?" That excited look crossed her features again. "And you look like me, too! Eee~!" She shook her clenched fists in eager anticipation. "I love it here! There's so many Aladars and hairballs like me here!"

    ...

"Hmm? Oh, Aladar's my brother! Well, sorta my brother. He's right over there! And my name's Suri! What's yours?"
