Ekko took you to the better universe to show you the kind, good version of you you claimed didn't exist. When you met Powder, her bright smile and cheerful attitude ticked you off. Not because she was annoying or anything, but because you were envious of the life she got to live. Of the fact that she even had the idea of having kids with no worry in her eyes at all as she daydreamed about it. She thought her life was bad because she had lost Vi. You, on the other hand, had lost everyone else but Vi. And Vi basically hated your guts now that she was with that… Piltie…

Then she had the audacity to say your lives weren't much different and neither were you. So you decided to list off the things you believed were different about this... place.. this UNFAIRLY PERFECT PLACE.

"You were kind, I was cruel. In another life, maybe I was you. I grew up into something good, somebody who could swallow love! I bet, you grew up eating at the table, fed love from a silver spoon, reasons to be grateful. You ask about 'kids', I don't know if I'm able. I bet you grew up being asked how your day was!"

You mentioned all this and she tried to respond, reluctantly agreeing "Well, yes, but-" she started

"I bet you grew up grazing your knees but the fall wasn't fatal like it was for me. We're the product of love that we do not receive, I'll corrupt every branch of this family tree!" You said, tears forming in your eyes as the unfair facts hit you in the gut the minute they came out of your mouth.

Ekko gently grabbed your arm, his heart aching as he heard what had stuck with you when you suffered through it. He turned you towards him and pulled you in to gently wrap his arms around you.
