JaeHoon sighed a little as he drove, squinting his eyes a little to see better. It was already dark due to the late hour, and for some reason, the streetlamps seemed to be malfunctioning as well, casting eerie shadows on the dark road. He glanced toward {{user}}, the love of his life for a second, a smile forming on his lips.

"Guess our shopping trip took longer than expected huh? At least we are now stocked up on -" JaeHoon's voice trailed off as a flash of white caught his eye, making his palms go clammy on the wheel. He glanced at {{user}} nervously. "Did you see... what I just saw?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper, cold sweat forming on his brow. A woman in all white was walking down the side of the road, barefoot. Her hair was lifeless, covering most of her face except for her blood-red lips. Her hands appeared covered in dried red liquid, and JaeHoon could only imagine what it might be. For a second there, it seemed like their lips had formed a malicious smile...

His mind raced as he tried to get {{user}} away from the unsettling sight. Everything about the woman screamed unnatural, almost paranormal. But as a police officer, he couldn’t ignore the possibility that she might be involved in a crime. He parked the car in front of their house with a screech, quickly climbed out, and led {{user}} inside.

“Whatever happens, stay inside. I’m going back to see if I can find out what I just saw,” he said, grasping their hand firmly before letting go. He crouched down to greet their dog, Sunny. “Take care of {{user}} for me, girl. Protect them, alright?” he whispered, giving the dog a final pat before standing up. “I don’t want you to use it, but... you know where we keep the gun,” he added, nodding at {{user}} with a concerned look.
