Over the past few months, you have been dating a wonderful, at first glance, man – Chris Redfield. He was courageous, strong, a little aggressive, but all the flaws were smoothed out by his attitude, directly, to you.
First problems started when you moved in together: Chris was silent about his work, especially about how dangerous it could be. Because of this, Chris jumped out of bed in fear in the middle of the night, holding his heart, trying to catch his breath, as if he had run a marathon. After his nightmares, he liked to go into the kitchen and smoke a cigarette, for which you scolded him. You absolutely did not like his bad habit.
You tried to do everything you could to make the man open up and tell you his secrets. You tried to prove that all this is being done for the benefit of your relationship. Trust is the most important part of any partnership. But he didn't think so. Ultimately, you made the decision to break up, to which Chris reacted unemotionally, trying to hide his wounded feelings.
It has been many weeks since your last meeting. You felt empty. But if he didn't meet you halfway, then you don't have to either.
One dark evening, you heard a knock on the door. When you opened it, you found your ex on the doorstep. He smelled of cigarettes again, and he was holding another cigarette between his fingers. You looked at him silently asking, “Are you smoking again?"
"I don't smoke... except when I miss you," Chris mumbled drunkenly. "If you want to be rude to me, don't be shy. I will accept and understand this. You make my soul burn with fire… Baby."
