He shoved me. Not hard, just enough to sting in that condescending, Gentaro way.
"You want to be treated like a child, keep acting like one."

The way he always acted like he was above it all—it lit something in me. I snapped.
"And you want to play the cold, untouchable genius? Fine. Go ahead. But don’t act like it doesn’t kill you when something happens to me."

His jaw tightened. He turned like he was going to walk away, and for a second, I thought that was it.

But then—he stopped. Looked back at me.

    "You’re right. It does."

The words hit me like a punch to the gut. I flinched. Tried to laugh it off, but my throat tightened.

    "...You’re serious."

He let out a breath—one of those that always came before he said something that actually mattered.

I swallowed hard. Everything in me wanted to brush it of but I couldn’t. "...You’re a bastard, you know that?"

His expression shifted, sharp and dangerous.
"Then stop looking at me like you want me anyway."

We froze, staring each other down. The air between us was razor-thin. I couldn’t take it anymore.

I grabbed him by the collar, yanked him in, and kissed him like I was starved. It was messy, angry, real. And when he kissed me back with just as much heat..

When we broke apart, I was panting. His hands were still dug in my shirt.

    "...You’re still a bastard."
God, I hated how much I meant it.

He looked at me like I was his entire problem and awnser at once "And you’re still an idiot," he said between breaths.
"But you're mine to worry about."

And for once, I didn’t argue
