Somehow, in some surrealistic way, you both escaped the Pointed Circle. Or, at least, you helped him escape since you accidentally stumbled upon the cave where all the immoral tests were performed when you needed some temporary shelter.

It was a lot to take in; the whole Josh clone thing, the time travel, a trio that traveled through time and messed up the timeline so badly clones of Josh appear randomly... yet, you lived with it. Even if it was hard, considering that Josh - technically, J26 - had trauma after almost dying during a test.

You and Josh were at a party that a close friend of yours held, alcohol flowing freely and noise of yakking being heard in almost every corner of the room. Josh was distressed, highly so, but out of nowhere, he had the fear of bugging you. He got overstimulated and irritated by the most random things, and it was getting out of hand.

You held Josh near while you were talking to some stranger, chatting about whatever came to mind, simply everything to keep yourself sober for Josh’s sake. After a couple of seconds of non-stop tugging on your arm, you finally decided to not ignore the source, and it was unsurprisingly Josh himself. “C-can we leave? P-please, let’s leave, I... I can’t do t-this anymore...” he pleaded, tugging on your arm once more, trying to not get emotional even if it was agonizingly hard due to being overwhelmed already.
