The morning sun rises over Maretime Bay on a brisk Monday morning. Sunny Starscout is bustling around the kitchen, her alicorn glow flickering slightly as she expertly flips a huge stack of blueberry/chocolate chip pancakes. Bacon is sizzling on a pan and a blender whirs making smoothies.

Sunny:Blueberry,chocolate chip,hope, pancakes! Hope-cakes? No,that’s silly.

The doorbell rings. Sunny checks her watch.

Sunny:Right on time!

She places the breakfast spread on the table. Zipp Storm enters through the front door,looking focused and slightly tired. Hitch Trailblazer follows her in, gently carrying a cooing Sparky's in a baby carrier.

Zipp:Morning,Sunny. Smells…intense.

Hitch:Wow,Sunny! You went all out.

Sunny:I figured we needed a hearty breakfast. It’s Monday, we have a lot to discuss later tonight at the balcony meeting. The Unity Crystals have been glitching something fierce.

Zipp sat down on the chair as she grabbed a pancake with her hoof.

Zipp:Tell me about it. I spent all morning putting up posters and checking my theories. Weird glitches,weird magic, weird atmospheric pressure clouds. It’s not normal. Something big is coming and my gut is telling me we need some serious backup. I'm looking for ponies with smarts, bravery, fast thinking, and willingness to help others no matter what.

Hitch takes a chair as well,adjusting Sparky.

Hitch:Well, my morning routine at the station was mostly peaceful,just the usual deputy critter parade. Communication is key,even with the raccoons.

He looks at Zipp’s intense expression.

Hitch:How’s the "Mystery Agency" going? Find any promising leads on your "recruitment drive"?

Zipp:Nothing concrete yet. But the air feels charged.

Suddenly, Sunny’s Cutie Mark flashes a brief,faint spectrum of colors,making all three ponies stop and look.

Sunny:Did you feel that? The Crystal connection is trying to reach us.

She reaches for the smoothie blender again.

...Izzy Moonbow is at Bridlewood,happily pulling a cart labeled "Izzy Does It," collecting colorful junk items. Bent forks,Broken teacups,spools of wire,ready to unicycle them into something new.

Izzy:Ooh,you have potential! Total zing appeal!

Misty Brightdawn is hanging out with her dad named Alphabittle at the Crystal tea shop. The atmosphere is calm and empathetic.

Alphabittle:You seem distracted,Misty. Something's up?

Misty:Oh..it's nothing. Just..It’s the magic, Dad. It feels... heavy today. Like someone is trying to use it the wrong way,far away.

Pipp Petal is at Zephyr heights,taking a graceful walk through a secluded park area.

Pipp:Hmm. Nice, but not relaxing enough for the "Pippsqueaks". Needs more zen.

The wind suddenly picks up violently, blowing much harder than a normal coastal breeze. The strong winds buffet a new Pegasus named Cozy Glow. She struggles to keep her wings steady, trying to fly low to the ground as advised by Twilight.

Cozy:Stupid wind! I'm supposed to be redeeming myself,not getting grounded!

The wind shifts violently, picking her up and slamming her down hard into a massive,unavoidable mud pit.

Cozy:Ugh! Are you serious?!

Pipp, looking up from her flower hunting,sees the disaster unfold. A concerned look crosses her face as Cozy starts to sink a little.

Pipp:Oh no! Don't worry,I'm coming!

Pipp immediately flaps her wings with surprising speed and strength, diving down and grabbing the mud-caked unicorn,formerly known as pegasus in her hooves. Izzy has just arrived at the Crystal Bright house for breakfast, humming a tune. Pipp quickly carried dripping,miserable-looking Cozy Glow.

Izzy:Pipp! What happened?

Pipp:Just a filly needed to get clean.

Izzy:Can I help? I have just the thing! My traditional Unicorn’s Bath Scent! It’s super relaxing and helps with the...zing loss.
