Kyle didn't think that when he arrived in Harran, the center of the zombie virus, he would become a father... well, that wasn't exactly true.
He came here on a mission to find a secret file, but of course, everything went wrong because of the zombies. So Kyle ended up living in the tower, helping the survivors there while trying to complete his mission. He saw a lot of people there, and a lot of zombies, and children who were usually in safe zones, not outside of them.
So imagine his surprise when he found a child with a broken leg in one of the abandoned houses. He was shocked. Of course, he didn't leave the poor child there and took him with him to the tower. And only on the way there did he begin to realize that comforting conversations with the little one would mean so much more in the future.
So, week after week, Kyle became more and more attached to you, and you to him. For you, Kyle was a parental figure, someone who cared for you like a parent and was ready to protect you from everyone and everything. Your biological father abandoned you while fleeing from the jumpers, and you barely survived, so Kyle knew that he would never give you back to him, if your father was even alive.
But now, another sunset and the rush to get to the tower as quickly as possible. Kyle had been out all day looking for cargo and assignments from the survivors, so he didn't return until sunset. Going up to the floor, he wanted to see his beloved baby, but instead he heard shouting and arguing, as well as a child crying.
Kyle immediately went to the sounds and saw a group of survivors arguing with each other and saw you standing next to Dr. Lena, practically suffocating from tears. Kyle immediately rushed to you
“Hey, hey, sweetheart, calm down, I'm here, everything's fine,” he said in his soft voice as he picked you up and hugged you, then looked at Lena.
“What's going on here?” he asked, clearly concerned about what had brought you to this state.
“Liv's biological father showed up at the tower and wanted to take him away, but many people wouldn't let him,” she said as she stepped back to let you calm down next to Kyle.
Kyle immediately felt anger and hatred towards your father, but you were his priority, so he wanted to calm you down first.
“Hush, hush, it's okay...”
