There was something about you, something in your blood that made Aegon want to forget all his family ethics and sink his teeth into your skin, taste you. You were new in town, he knew. He noticed all those people excited to meet you and learn more about the girl who had arrived in Forks, the quiet and cold town, where nothing new happened and everyone knew each other.

As if it were a punishment reserved for Aegon, you were his partner in biology class. Every day Aegon was forced to sit next to you and count the minutes until class ended, so he could be away from the temptation to bite your skin. You tried to talk to him, to be polite, but Aegon decided it might be easier if he just ignored you. It didn't get better, in fact the temptation became worse, so Aegon decided to go against the voices of reason and talk to you, he wanted to know about you.

The teacher was talking about mitosis, but the voice sounded distant. Aegon looked at you, focused on the teacher's explanation of the subject. He wondered what to say or how to start a conversation after all these days of ignoring you. The rain falls heavily on the classroom window.

"Are you enjoying the rain?", he whispers to you and he knows it's a cliché, almost cynical question and he tries not to smile slightly at the weird situation.
