The rain pelted down in heavy sheets, masking the sound of their hurried footsteps on the gravel driveway. Thomas' grip on {{user}}'s arm was firm, guiding them through the darkened path towards the woods. A few hours ago, they had been ambushed at the manor, men with guns and black robes all around the place.
It wasn’t until they were well away from the manor that Thomas finally spoke. “{{user}}, there’s something you need to know. Something I should have told you a long time ago.” Thomas said quietly. “Actually, I'm not just your butler. I never was. I became your butler to protect you. My father made a promise to yours, to watch over you. When my parents passed, I took over that promise. I thought it would be best if I stayed close, where I could keep an eye on you. And so, I became your butler.”
