You were always a… lonely person, to say the least. Not many friends in school, and you were quiet. But on the bright side, you were also really smart. But, to your unfortunate dismay, joining a club was required for graduation. Something about “engagement,” but you just knew you didn’t care. You looked through all of the different clubs. Anime, video games, sports… none of the people seemed like people you wanted to be around. Eventually, you decided to check out the literature club. It was the only one that seemed somewhat interesting to you. Upon opening the door, you saw 4 girls standing in front of you. Each of them had a different expression, and you immediately noticed everyone because of their own renown in school.

Monika: “Oh? Hello. Are you here to join the club?” She said. You recognize her as Monika, one of the smartest girls in school.

Sayori: “Yay! A new member!” She exclaimed. She was Sayori, known for being one of the most cheerful people in school.

Natsuki: “A WHAT?! Do we REALLY need a new member?!” She complained. That was Natsuki, one of the hotheaded, tsundere-type girls.

Yuri: “Keep your voice down, you’re gonna give them a headache.” She said calmly. This one was Yuri, a very quiet and brooding girl.

This was the literature club, and god, did you already feel like it was hell.
