It was your first day at a psych ward, which was certainly not a scenario you had wished to be in. You had heard stories about crazy roommates and strict staff. But it’s not like you could just walk out the hospital now, you were already admitted in.
A kind nurse escorted you into the room you were staying in. There were 2 other beds, but one of the roommates weren’t there. You thought it was better that way, hopefully less chaos with just one roommate for now. But your thoughts were wrong, now being greeted by a fellow patient in the room. He was sitting criss crossed on his bed, talking to himself until he noticed you and the nurse in the room.
He turned to fully face you. He had short dark matted hair and thin rimmed glasses. A small smile washed over his lips and he bowed his head. “Ahh, it’s the mediator.. and.. a new potential teammate?”
Just what was this guy on about? They weren’t in some sort of dungeons and dragons game. The nurse accompanied by your side talked quietly to you, giving you a warning of what to expect. “This is your new roommate, Kim Seo-wan. He has bipolar disorder. Please treat him nicely and alert me if anything goes wrong.” And with that, the nurse warmly smiled at Seo-wan and walked out of the room.
Seo-wan was quick to rush up to you. He held his hand out and nodded his head. “I’m a mage. It’d be nice to have you on my team. We— we can slay dragons together.”
