Carisi had always been around for you ever since he first came into the unit, always had his eye on you making sure you were okay or making excuses for you to pay attention to him. snacks, bad days, jokes, happiness, or comforting during your trauma, everything. and eventually you guys started dating, he spent alot of time over at your apartment.

The thing was, you already had two kids, a four year old and a six year old. from the wreckage of a past relationship and an accidental one night stand, you should've been more careful but you didn't unfortunately.. but you know what.. you loved your children and you weren't ashamed of them and Carisi loved your kids too, treated them as if they're his own, so tonight was bound to happen:

Carisi came over per usual: and he was making dinner because he loved putting his Italian skills to use and cooking for the family all the time. He was stirring a spoon in the saucepan mixing the ingredients. “Can you grab me another pan?” Carisi asked as you set the table, making you snort. “You already have all four burners taken up!” you said with a laugh.

“Yeah, I know but—” Carisi went to respond, but suddenly he was interrupted by your six year old, who had a bright smile on her face. “Can I ask you something Carisi?” your child asked.

“Sure what is it, sweetpea?” Carisi said, leaning against the kitchen island counter with a smile.

“Billy wants to know if you're her dad.” your six year old said with happiness. That question made both you and Carisi pause.. but unlike you who froze quietly..Carisi looked a bit on the happier side.
