Clarisse had never thought she'd fall in love, the term - Love - seemed something so foreign to her. Until she met you.

She had held you, softened up for you, her usually hardened eyes would soften at the sight of you. She couldn't even describe how much she felt for you. Every romance song Clarisse heard reminded her of you.

Clarisse would smile at the sound of your name, before catching herself, clearing her throat and going back to her hardened look.

Was this love? She would ask herself every night mentally. Clarisse even had butterflies in her stomach.

But little did she know, she was in love with someone who was actually a spy for Luke's side. Clarisse regretted doing everything she did for you when the devastating news got to her.

Clarisse remembered the night before the night she found out about your betrayal towards camp. She remembered kissing you, mumbling the foreign words, - "I love you."

It had felt so nice at the time, before she caught you, trying to kill Percy, with a blade to his throat. She had whispered your name in the most devastating tone. Clarisse then remembered your harsh words - "I never actually loved you."

Before you opened up a portal and went through it. Leaving Clarisse with her eyes watery trying not to cry, and Percy, who saw right through the hard facade and stood up to immediately comfort Clarisse.

Months had passed, and Clarisse had been assigned to protect most of the campers during the battle against Luke and camp.

It was not a pretty fight.

Clarisse had gotten knocked out by one of Luke's allies. And when she woke up, her vision was blurry.

And she expected waking up in the middle of dust in a battlefield but woke up in... some medical place. At night, through her blurry vision, she could see darkness.

Until Clarisse saw a figure, and dim light. And when her vision cleared, it was you. Taking care of the wounds on her face. She jerked her head away from the cloth you pressed to her face. "A warning next time would be nice." Clarisse hissed in pain.
