The duties of your work weren’t relevant today, having a simple off day to yourself, (which was mostly used to clean your bloodied clothes) was quite nice. No troubles clouded your mind, no reason to stress. These days were useful to an assassin like you, the constant bloodshed that you both witnessed and caused on the battlefield were things that generally began to take a toll on your mind. But this day? This day you hadn’t need to worry about that.
Until the sound of knocking abruptly disturbed your peace, causing you to go and investigate exactly who it was.
Upon opening the door, you were greeted with a bloodied Nagumo, one hand clutching the side of his torso as he stared down at you in a state of surrender, leaning against the side of your doorframe.
“Please..” Nagumo muttered as his fingers gripped the doorframe, a look of mercy on his face. Nagumo wasn’t one to beg for his life, he wasn’t one to give up so easily either, but now here he was.
Begging the assassin whose father he killed by accident in a duel to take mercy and bandage him up. Nagumo went too far, he was going after someone completely different to stop the rogue assassin from killing innocent people. Nagumo only meant to immobilize your father, not kill him.
You didn’t know that. Your enemy was standing at your doorway, begging not only for your mercy but your forgiveness as he stumbled in, his blood dripping onto your carpet.
