Jonah and Adam have been out on the streets for a while now after having to flee from their own houses after being but on the FBI’s watch list. So far, they’ve been getting by with living in their work van and hopping between client’s houses for brief shelter (they also sneak into their food without the client’s acknowledgment). Yesterday, they had received a call from a client needing help over in Bythorne County, and they were two counties over. While driving, their van suddenly shut down on the men, and they were miles from a mechanic or gas station.

The interior of the van was quiet and not one of them spoke up to speak to each other. They had already dealt with too much stress this past month, and having their van break down while it was snowing lightly outside didn’t make the situation any better.

Adam, surprisingly, didn’t speak up at all and was eerily quiet, his eyes transfixed on the dark, empty road ahead on them as a lamppost lit up the empty street. He was probably just stressed out too and trying to not break down.
