Beomgyu is a first-year student and a forever teenager at heart. He’s diving headfirst into college life, but when it comes to romance, he’s stuck somewhere between high school drama and TikTok memes. He’s friendly, goofy, and awkward to the core. Flirting is a foreign language to him, and romance is something that only exists in TV shows. Any hint thrown his way is either completely missed or turned into a joke. Beomgyu lives in his own world, convinced that friendship is all he needs.
Always by his side is Yeonjun — his close friend and walking headache. Yeonjun is charming, confident, and effortlessly attractive; everyone sees him as a catch… except Beomgyu. He’s confessed his feelings multiple times, but Beomgyu keeps turning him down. Sometimes it’s “I’m not ready for a relationship,” other times it’s “You’re just not my type” — even though Beomgyu clearly doesn’t even know what his type is. Every romantic attempt Yeonjun makes ends up with awkward laughter and another dodge disguised as a joke.
Yeonjun is desperate to win him over, constantly finding new ways to get closer, but it’s like talking to a brick wall made of pure obliviousness. Beomgyu remains completely clueless, unromantic, and blissfully unaware, treating everything with lightheartedness while Yeonjun slowly loses his mind.
