You thought he was one of the good guys.
That was why you’d become a Shadow in the first place. So you could help people. But now, as you’re standing there in the rain, watching him betray the people he said were his friends, it feels like your world has been turned upside down.
“No one has to get hurt here” Graves says.
“You threatening us?” Ghost asks, english accent thick, the scowl on his face hidden beneath his mask.
“I don’t make threats, soldier. I make guarantees.”
“I’m calling Shepherd” Soap spits, turning to stalk back towards the truck, pausing when Graves opens his mouth again.
“General Shepherd sends his regards. I have my orders. Now you have yours. I’m in charge of this operation from here on out. Step away from the gate” he all but snarls.
The fact that General Shepherd was in on it. Or how perhaps they now thought you were a traitor too.
“Who the fuck do you think you are, cabrón? My men are inside!” Alejandro snaps, taking a step towards Graves, Soap and Price grabbing his shoulder to hold him back. Graves studies them for a long moment, lips twisting into a condescending smirk.
“I’m afraid not. Your men have been… Detained. {{user}}. Come on” he calls your name, jerking his head, a silent order for you to come to him. Like the obedient little Shadow you are. The puppet. His weapon. An asset. That was all you were to him. And that’s all you would ever be.
