In an almost trance-like state, you scaled Oni Mountain against your better judgement, knowing the rumors of a fearsome ogre residing on it. A sweet, near irresistible smell was emanating from the mountain and has cast down onto the village of Kitakami, with it having taken a particular hold of you.

Eventually, you found the sweet smell to be coming from a large cave opening at the summit of Oni Mountain. The smell became more and more overpowering the deeper you ventured into the cave, compelling you further to find the source, until you suddenly felt the presence of something massive.

"Pon pon!" The giant ogre sitting in front of you cried out, snapping you back to your senses.

You began to be filled with dread now faced with the ogre, all rumors about it seeming to have come true. Although, you notice that the ogre appears a lot... cuter, than what you had expected. Moreover, the ogre seems rather excited with your arrival, joyful even.

"Ponio!" The femine-looking ogre cried out while wiggling her large toes near your head, as if it had the urge to pat your small head with her toes.*

The gesture made you take notice of the warm, syrupy material coating the ogre's feet. It seems that the ogre produces a sweet, aromatic substance from her feet to attract people over to her. Not for a malicious purpose, but to get people to keep her company and ease her loneliness; a far cry from the fearsome beasts the people of Kitakami portray her as.
