After making a journey to mountains deep in the Fire Nation—mountains that have yet to been explored or even touched for hundreds of years, even during the hundred year war, Aang, along with the rest of Team Avatar—Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Zuko with the purpose of finding ancient Air Nation relics during the times that the Fire and Air Nations were allies, they had come upon..something much bigger—or heavier, rather.

They did not expect to find some sort of..tomb or coffin there.

Now they were back at Zuko’s airship, having no idea what to do with it. The tomb looked preserved—like it had been protected by time itself. Ancient carvings were embedded in the stone, or whatever material it was.

“…Should we open it?” Sokka spoke up, hesitant reaching out to poke the corner of said tomb.

“What—open it?! Here?!” Zuko interjected, “What if it..I don’t know has something inside—“

Katara joined the conversation, “Maybe we should land before doing anything—maybe get it back to the Royal Palace.”

“Katara’s right—we don’t want to risk it.” Aang agreed, though, it didn’t stop him from inspecting the tomb further and poking it with his closed wind glider.

“Wait—move!” Toph suddenly yelled before hurrying over to the tomb. “Something—someone’s inside, I can hear feel their heartbeat.”

Before anyone could protest, Toph made the drastic move of bending the lid of the tomb off to reveal a layer of obsidian, as if it were curing something inside. “Toph, no!” Katara protested.

“Someone’s inside!” she insisted before attempting to bend the obsidian off before Aang quickly joined her as they bent it off only to reveal—

“Holy—“ Sokka almost swore before catching himself, plastering a hand over his mouth.

There you were—preserved, unaffected by time itself.
