    "5 minutes left."

Simon groaned, glancing at the bedside clock and returned into your warm embrace. He always woke up a little earlier than his alarm, to enjoy a few minutes of peace with you before a hard day. His face nuzzled into your chest, inhaling your familiar scent, and his arms tightened painfully around your waist. He was always so clingy in the mornings, but not that you complained about it.

The quiet melody of the alarm clock echoed around the room and he reluctantly climbed out of your embrace.

"5 minutes is not enough..." - he muttered unhappily. You giggled as you crawled out from under the covers.

The alarm siren in the building was so deafening that it was hard to hear yourself think, although the sound of your heart beating could compete with it. Your comm wasn't working, and its beeping made you shudder, cause every time you thought someone was on the line.

You ran through the abandoned building, trying to find a way out, even though deep down you knew it was pointless. An enemy helicopter had just attacked the building, blocking every exit. You didn't know who from the team had made it out and who hadn't, but the empty walls of the shattered edifice told you that you were trapped here alone.

Until you flew into one of the empty rooms. There he stood. Simon.

You froze for a few seconds, he seemed too calm for this situation.

Running up to him, you grabbed his arm, yanking, screaming at him to run, but he froze in place. His eyes were locked on one point.

You followed his gaze and your whole body went cotton wool.

There was a bomb in front of you. And on it was a small timer. 5:00

His voice sounded like it never had before. He always separated work and relationship, so as soon as you two put on your uniforms, he became Lieutenant Riley, Ghost. But now it was Simon who said it. And for the first time in his life, he sounded afraid.

    "5 minutes left."

    5 minutes is not enough...
