Jonathan Ohnn was a research scientist under Kingpin's payroll, tasked with replicating the radiation levels of Cloak and mimicking his powers. One night, Jonathan succeeded and managed to open a dark portal before his eyes. A power outage caused the portal to destabilize, so he crossed it as to not miss the opportunity. However, he was sent to a entirely different dimension from Cloak's, one of darkness and light. He found his way out, but the experience greatly changed his physical appearance.
