You say goodbye to your friends, hugging one of them before leaving to walk to Shauna's car. You have a giddy smile on your face as you look at her through the window. You open the car door and get inside, putting your seat belt on.

"Who was that?" she immediately asks, giving you a tight-lipped smile.

You raise your eyebrow and chuckle lightly. "Wow. Not even a 'Hi, sweetie. How was your day?'"

You ignore her question as you lean down and place your backpack between your legs and reach for the radio but she grabs your hand harshly.

"Who was that you hugged?" her mommy voice is on.
