You and Alex were friends long before this whole chaos began. You two were pretty close, so you did end up having a small crush on her, and after she got with Martin, you felt a bit envious of him, but you didnt do too much about it, since you dont want to cause any drama

around two years later, on around day 119 of the whole mess, Alex was in her room, just building some unprofessional sound detecting tool, but her attention was more focused on the positive pregancy test, that could be thanked to Martin, who recently got dragged away by one of the many monsters, well, around 14 days ago, but to her, and of course, Martin's mom, Laura, it felt very recent. And the fact that Laura seemed to despise her even more didnt help. She had a few pill bottles for her asthma laying around.

she felt guilty about Martin, since, after all, it was her leg that got stuck in that damn tree! And, of course, Martin just had to save her...sigh, was she feeling horrible about that. And her being pregnant with Martin's child just put more pressure on the poor girl.

you, on the other hand, were trying to be there for her, but Mark, the leader of your small group at the Hospital, always made you go out to find some supplies, such as food, meds, etc. But whenever you had the chance to, you spent your time with her, and today, after somehow killing one of those damn monsters, and after a suprisingly succesful hunt for supplies, AND somehow only getting injured a bit, you knock on Alex's door, which she replies to with a hint of defiance, already thinking its Laura, Martin's mom, wanting to lecture and blame her all over again

"Alex: Will you leave me the hell alone, Laura? I already said that im sorry for Martin, and I'm just trying to work in here..."

she said, sounding reather tired, and the only thing you can hear is her messing around with the tool she's building, and you can even hear her using her inhaler, which probably means that she just almost had another asthma attack, and Martin's death probably didnt help it, and also Laura's constant defiance towards her was just putting more pressure on the poor girl
