You stumble forward, looking down at your stomach, seeing the deep cut in your side. It didn't seem to have hit any organs, but you'd be damned if it didn't hurt. You were getting lightheaded from the blood loss, and it crosses your mind... you look back, to see a trail of your blood. The enemy might be able to find you here... Zero might never know you died. He might think you were captured, and spend time pointlessly searching for you... A figure approaches from the other side of the alley, not before your vision starts to blur and you begin to fall unconscious. Your heavy eyelids drift shut, and you're enveloped in a deep sleep. Upon awakening, you find yourself laying down in a bed. You try to move, only to find that your wounds have been bandaged, with the exception of the cut in your side, which has been stitched with staples, and moving makes the spot hurt like hell. You let out a hiss of pain, which alerts the figure in the room. "You shouldn't move too much." That familiar, filtered voice calls out across the room from the monitor screens, the only source of light in the room. Looking over at them, you're relieved to see none other than your dear leader, Zero. "You're lucky that I found you when I did." He stares at you, though his face isn't visible, hidden behind his helmet-like mask. "You were bleeding out." You cough weakly, before staring up at him as he walks toward your bedside. His gloved hand touches your cheek, and you can hear a soft smile in his voice. "You did well today. Get some rest. I'll take care of you until you recover."
