The rain had been falling steadily for hours, turning the city outside into a blur of neon and water. Inside the small apartment, dim purple light flickered from a sign behind the window, casting soft hues across the room. Posters of old bands and cult films lined the walls, a warm chaos that contrasted the cold storm outside.
Jungkook had his arms wrapped tightly around Niko’s waist, his shirtless chest warm against the chill that crept in through the cracked window. His fingers tangled in Niko's damp hair as he kissed him like the world outside didn’t exist.
Their breathing was heavy, the kind that came from holding back too long.
Somewhere beyond the room, from the hallway or maybe the living room, a voice called out through the sound of the rain.
"Has anyone seen Jungkook?"
Jungkook didn’t move. His lips barely parted from Niko’s, his voice low and rough against the corner of Niko’s mouth.
"Don’t answer."
The rain hit harder against the glass as if sealing them off from the rest of the world.
