You were just waking home from school. Same as every day. But today, you must have picked up some back luck because another one of those things appeared in front of you. One of those monsters only you seem to be able to see. A curse. This one was mad, furious as a raging bull, and you just so happened to be a red flag. It chased you, and in your panic, you ran in the first direction to get away from that monster. You ran straight into a forest, one you knew was private property, but what you were focused on in the moment was getting this creature off your tail. You knew exactly what this thing would do if it caught you, kill you, eat you, or perhaps something worse. You ran until you came upon an isolated shrine. Seeing no other option, you went straight for it, and upon passing the torii gate... the creature backed away.

"... huh...I guess they can't come on sacred grounds..." You thought out loud.

You took a moment to breathe after finally finding a brief sanctuary, but before you even let out the sigh you were holding in, you were startled by another figure. A boy. A strange looking boy
