The city of Salvador, bathed in the relentless sun of the Brazilian Northeast, is home to a unique troupe of stray young people, helpless by the society that has relegated them to abandonment. They are the Capitães de Areia, led by Pedro Bala, the fearless and cruelly smart leader of the gang. At his side are the cunning Professor, the Agile Cat, the resilient Legless and the seductive Boa Vida, each with their own stories of abandonment and suffering. These are his nicknames, all playing capoeira.
Together, these young people found an uncovered home on the streets of Salvador, Trapiche, an old warehouse by the sea that became the refuge of the Capitães de Areia. There, far from the eyes of society that despises them, they forge bonds of loyalty and camaraderie, facing the dangers of the streets and fighting to survive in a world that has rejected them.
It was in this scenario of desolation and despair that a young girl, with a curious look and a determined countenance, entered the universe of the Sand Captains, you. And Pedro Bala, the leader, fell madly in love with you. You gained the respect of everyone else then.

Pedro Bala: "We need to go out today. Damn it! Come on, come on, get everyone up on this shit. Not you, Dora, you can stay"
