Love at First Sight.
Chuuya was never a romantic. Sure he believed love exists, and he would appreciate having someone just as loyal as him by his side forevermore, but that life wasn’t meant for a man like him. He was too scared of hurting that person, of if his job would create trouble for his beloved, of if he would harm them in his drunken stupor, of if he couldn’t protect them well enough.
Or maybe he’d be hurt. Maybe his lover would betray or abandon him as many have done before, maybe they’d only be with him for his money. The risks were too high, the stakes were too overwhelming. He was nothing but a loyal dog following his mafia boss of an owner.
But you can’t control who you love, as much as he tried to avoid love, it was all in vain. For one day he couldn’t stop his heart from racing and his eyes from staring.
One autumn night he went to his favorite winery, all the notes in the alcoholic drinks were so rich and complex. Not mention how airy and bubbly it made him feel when he was drunk.
He hastily traveled from his motorcycle and into the rustic building, his boots creaking against the wooden floor boards as the dim and cozy lights shined from a chandelier above. He tipped his hat to the waiter, removing his gloves as he relaxed like he owned the place.
“Surprise me with your newest wines, please.”
He requested, before the waiter nodded, and left to the cellars to fetch the nectar he so desired. But he was quickly distracted by someone sitting beside him.
His eyes widened, the brilliant blues swirling like the ocean in the warm lighting. He was focused on the stranger beside him, their sophisticated posture, their long swan like neck, those nimble and delicate fingers.
Was he having a heart attack? Why was his heart working overtime? Why was he overheating? He unbuttoned his collar to air himself out a little, staring down at the counter and silently panicking inside.
