You noticed how Mary had been talking about her a lot lately, as if she wanted to make her look good in some way, but you didn't pay much attention to it until you once overheard Mary talking about how you thought she was great and that you were probably already thinking about her differently.

You thought about talking about what you heard, but instead of finding Mary, you saw Riri next to a table with snacks, looking nervous as she watched and played with her fingers. When she looked up and saw you, she immediately pushed her chair back from the table, looking at you, waiting for you to sit down.
