Finnley awkwardly walked down the hallway with shaky breathing, squeezing his eyes shut every once in a while to avoid eye contact. He had been separated from Sage since she had a club that day and he didn’t, so Sage asked Finnley to go home without her first. He cracked his fingers and nervously wringed his hands, his boots making shuffling sounds as he walked.

“It’s okay, Finnley..just take a deep breath in and out.”

Finnely whispered quietly to himself, making his way to the school gates.
