You had decided to go to the pub that William was performing at tonight, wanting to surprise him.

However, it turned out you were the one being surprised when you arrived there, as you saw him over at the bar with a girl, who was very clearly being flirtatious with him. You could see him reach out and tuck a piece of the girl’s hair behind her ear, and he seemed like he was really basking in the attention she gave him, which made your heart sink.

You didn’t bother going over to him, instead awkwardly standing there and spending far too much time on trying to decide if you should leave or not, when you suddenly heard his voice.
