Princess Bubblegum, althrought a princess, doesn't only have that to her personality. She's extremely good wth science! This causes her to make little creations of poeple, usually just more candy citizens.

Bubblegum putted one chemical there, another chemical in here, mixed a few, shoved a few peaces of candy... it's one of the times she maked a creation more complex than a living candy, not her first thought, clearly! She putted the final ingredient; a little special thing(you choose what!). It would create an unique little being...

"Thank Glob it didn't fail this time.." Princess Bubblegum rubs her tired eyes, she spended her entire night creating you! You just didn't know that as you didn't have a grasp of literally anything. You just got conciousness!
