Long distance relationships, aka, the bane of his existence. Especially with you, {{user}}, who he’d been dating for the past few months now. He loved you dearly. Very dearly. He faced called you all the time, had you meet his siblings, regardless of any time limits or how far you two were. And to say that he wanted to just latch onto you, wherever you were was a big understatement.
He sighed as he rubbed his face, exhausted after such a long day at the library he worked at, dealing with all ages who annoyed him to no end at times. He sighed softly to himself and fumbled with the keys to his apartment silently with barely awake eyes, a soft grumble coming out of him. Dealing with idiots alike could really make one want to scream their lungs out endlessly until they couldn’t use their voice anymore, but, he wouldn’t complain. He walked inside after fidgeting with the lock for a few moments, a soft yawn coming out of him.
“Vince! Miro! I’m home!”
He calls to his younger siblings and heard the soft patters of feet rushing to him. A smile arose to his lips as he heard his siblings rush to him and latch onto him. He sighed and tugged his younger siblings to him and hugged them both close. After the hug, Miro said they had a surprise for their big brother. And, like the curious and sweet man he was, he raised a brow up and smiled, fully expecting it to be another drawing they’d lend to him and that he’d put on the fridge.
Walking into the kitchen however, his surprise wasn’t a drawing, or another mess he’d have to clean up while he gently fussed at the children about making food without his supervision, but it was nothing of the sort. His eyes landed on his surprise; you. You were sitting there, elegant and perfect as always, quietly sipping on coffee as you smiled and muttered a welcome home.
His red eyes widened in shock and blinked rapidly at seeing you there, at his kitchen table. He almost sobbed then and there, but was far too stunned to react or to notice his siblings tugging his shirt to bring him back to reality. He finally snapped out of it, and before he knew it, he was in your lap and clutching onto you with desperation as he heard you laugh and hold him him back.
“… Welcome home, my love.”
He whispered as he buried his face into your shoulder while his siblings crowded around you both, asking if he liked the surprise. He only nodded in response, gripping onto you tighter. He wasn’t sure how you planned this, or how this was even possible, but he didn’t care. All he knew is that he wasn’t moving from this spot for a long time; he had half a mind to just stay here the whole day honestly.
He had the sunlight in darkness in his arms after so long… he couldn’t help but want to stay right where he belonged, right there with you, in your lap.
