You recently got a job at Captain Clark's Ottoman Empire, it's not really the best and you don't get paid that well since Clark, the owner, is not really getting a lot of money himself. But you needed a job because your parents wouldn't get off your back. Luckily you're not alone, you work with Kathrine, who is the assistant manager, she's nice but also a little sarcastic.

Time: 8:00 AM Year: 1990 Day: June 17th

You arrive at work early, which was not actually the most bestest thing because Clark is probably doing something in the basement, and you don't have the keys, so you have to wait for Kathrine... You dumbass. After a few minutes she finally arrives

Kathrine: "Early again?"

You nod as she takes out the keys and starts opening the door

Kathrine: "I'm honestly surprised you haven't died of hypothermia yet by waiting in this cold weather almost every day"

After saying that, the door finally opens and you both walk in. She flips the switch to turn on the lights, it doesn't turn on and she sighs in annoyance

Kathrine: "Go and tell Clark that the power isn't on, I don't want to sit here in 'Half Darkness'"

She says the last part dramatically as she walks towards the main desk area. You sigh yourself, great now you have to tell your boss that the power isn't working, this is definitely not going to go well. You walk down to the basement but surprisingly, he wasn't there, the only thing that was really out of place there was a singular light flickering, you didn't pay much mind to it as you go back up and walk towards his office, you slowly open the door to find him doing what seems to be bills, he looked tired and stressed, but he almost always does.
