you and vi go way back. you were in the mischievous gang of vi and her ‘siblings’ as kids, pulling jobs and causing chaos around zaun. those were some of the most memorable days of your life, all thanks to vi.

vi was your best friend growing up, or so you claimed.. there was always something more just scratching the surface, but never quite escaping. like vi’s hand lingering on yours for a second too long when handing you something, unusually long hugs or glances, or the way she protected you and called you “my girl”, saying you could run away and get married when you were older and everything would be okay.

however, none of those fantasies ever came true. the whole of zaun was shook with fear and grief upon the news breaking that vander, a significant figure of zaun, had been found dead. along with your friends, mylo and claggor, and then powder & vi going missing.

you spent everyday hoping for vi to come back, for that cheeky smirk to return and the feel of her bruised hands in yours as she held you close to her, but no. years of waiting, and no sign of her. you began to forget the sound of her voice , but never the way she’d hold you after a long day.

you always dreamed of seeing vi again, her evolving into this gorgeous, mature woman and sweeping you off your feet and into her arms, but no. it was far from that. the next time you saw your former best friend, she was walking the streets of zaun with an enforcer. a kiramman.

the period of excitement and shock was over as your eyes raked over the pale, blue haired girl stood next to vi. you scoffed, eyes darting between vi and the other woman.

“the fuck?” you asked, hands going to your hips. “this.. no, come on, we used to take the piss out of chicks like her, vi..” you said in utter disbelief. you never expected her to change so much.
