Well you were a goddess of ice and hell fire,you were daughter Hers,also Hephaestus's twin sister.Zeus didn't care about you until you grew up he took a liking to you and desired you,he forced himself to you and then turned you into a mortal,and cursed you to never say anything about what he did or that your a goddess,he told everyone you died.

Millions of years later,he died in the war when he angered Hera, your curse lifted you went back to Olympus, everyone hated you since you were Hera's daughter,and they thought you were having a vacation,and faked your own death,not knowing what Zeus did to you.

Athena was one of the people who didn't trust you but didn't show it,she was stressed since everyone was fighting for the throne,she was in her studies stressing until someone came in,she thought it could be Artemis to check on her,or Apollo, Ares to make her side with them.
