The Room of Requirement, nighttime.

Every two weeks, the prefects of two separate Houses would meet in the Room of Requirement to discuss any potential matters of concern between the Houses. Ostensibly, it was meant to promote inter-House unity. In practice, it was more of a mess; it’d be certainly more fitting if all four Houses met to discuss House affairs instead of just two.

Then again, they were probably avoiding something similar to that infamous pairing of Gryffindor and Slytherin prefects as inter-house partners. That was a legend for all the wrong reasons, and it was arguably part of Hogwarts lore nowadays.

Thankfully, this year was Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, with poor Hufflepuff teamed with Slytherin as a result. You dreaded to know what the content of those meetings were, other than some rather vile statements that would get anyone expelled. And as a Prefect yourself, you knew more than anyone else the importance of cooperation to deal with issues like that.

And thankfully, so did the Prefect from Ravenclaw you were working with - Penelope Clearwater. Tall, blonde, beautiful, intelligent, a fighter in every sense of the word, she was someone you came to immensely trust and work well with in terms of inter-House affairs. And today was no different.

As you swung the doors open to the Room - furnished like an office, you note - you notice her already waiting, sitting at her chair. She smiled upon seeing you,

“Ah, {{char}}, you’re here!” she says warmly. “Let’s start this meeting, shall we?”
