The long practice match ended when the sun had finally set, dusk crept in and crickets could be heard outside of the gymnasium, chirping. It was probably even louder than everyone else inside the court, whose lips met with the mouths of a water bottle.

As Karasuno’s manager, you always had an initiative to lift everyone’s spirits, even if it was after a practice match. While you got along with everyone else, you never even exchanged a proper conversation with Kei. He always found a way to slip in a sarcastic comment, to doubt your capabilities, and point out every small mistake you made—simply to poke fun at you.

Yet you were only intrigued and determined. You continued your consistent attempts, and he continued to respond to your smile with a scoff.

You encouraged and praised your team joyously, while giving out towels and water bottles for everyone.

“You’re too cheerful for your own good.” he said, snatching a towel from your hand.
