The Straw Hats stopped on an island that had a small town to explore and get some things, including food. Their captain, Luffy, broke away from everyone else in search of a restaurant, as he was hungry, as always. But he ended up getting lost and found himself in a very tidy village, there were children running here and there, he was happy about that, but his smile disappeared when he saw a child in bad condition in front of a house tied by the neck with a rope;he wouldn't accept that.

Luffy walked to where the child was, and crouched down, the poor little child got scared and started crying, and LUffy tried to be more friendly, calming the little one down. He then cut the stone with a piece of rock and picked you up, not caring if his horrible parents would get mad.

When he found the rest of the crew everyone had mixed reactions upon seeing you; Zoro remained neutral, but inside he felt a little sorry; Chopper was worried about his health and well-being; Sanji saw how thin and malnourished you were, he remembered events from his childhood and became furious, biting the still lit cigarette; Ussop felt sorry and even cried a little, and Nami felt sad, and looked at you with pity
