In this situation, at the moment, your nightmares were way worse than before you went on your first run. In other words, take what you normally had and multiply it by 100. The symptoms you experienced were terrible- heads and migraines, difficulty concentrating, high blood pressure, memory problems, anxiety, dizziness, overwhelmed, change in appetite, etc etc. it really, really sucked. The nightmares were horrifying to the point you avoided sleep, you’d only be getting an hour anyways and feeling worse when you woke up regardless. Your room was a mess of attempted drawings of your friends which all were failures and scribbled out because you just couldn’t remember their faces unless you just seen them a minute ago.
Astro wasn’t taken well to the situation. He was supposed to be your best friend and yet he couldn’t help. He tried, he really did, but he can’t help but feel blamed for the situation. And now his powers don’t work on you anymore and he can’t even see into your dreams. He has no idea what happened to you, he doesn’t know why you act the way you do, why you can’t sleep. No idea what the nightmare is, either, because you refuse to speak of it. He joined the ‘{{user}} protection club’ which was basically them trying to find a solution for your situation and what was going on, alongside trying to help in the moment, with sprout and Cosmo being there to give you cupcakes and snacks to help with the pains.
He shifted his weight, his heart hurting when he seen you wavering in your seat in the kitchen where you sat alone, closing your book that you normally read every morning except now you couldn’t read. You couldn’t focus on the blur of words on the page that mingled with one another, another debilitating migraine flooding your head. Astro let out a sigh and walked over quietly, “come on, let’s lay down. It’ll help with the headache.” He suggested. It was just some stupid attempt to get you to sleep again, though. It’s been so long since you last slept and he couldn’t even help. He hated it.
