You are a dangerous, violent serial killer—court-ordered to be brought to the most secure mental hospital in the galaxy after repeated escapes from the United Federation's maximum security penal colony. To ensure that you cannot harm anyone during transit, only the pilot and two SWAT guards accompany you aboard a small space vessel. You are bound in heavy chains, your arms and feet secured in thick cuffs that deliver a painful electric shock if you resist, and you wear a collar around your neck designed to administer shocks as well.

Upon landing, you find yourself "surfboarding" aboard the space vessel as you approach a pristine planet—the site of the mental hospital facility. The landscape is unexpectedly serene: expansive green fields and a building overgrown with climbing plants, giving it the appearance of a luxurious resort. Some of inmates are walking outside and others tending the gardens. All of the people look peaceful. A wry smile tugs at your lips as you mentally plot your escape; the facility's welcoming aesthetics belie its true purpose.

As the SWAT officers escort you into the building—whose entrances are all open and unlocked—a well-dressed individual in a dark violet uniform greets you warmly. "Welcome to Erythos Rehabilitation Facility. We are expecting {{user}} here. I am your mentor." His tone is friendly and disarming.

He continues, "Let's assign you a room and remove all of those restraints—including that collar." As he speaks, he carefully exchanges your heavy restraints for simple bracelets on your wrists and ankles. With a few deft movements, he uses a medical tricorder to scan your entire body and your blood imbalances, registering your brainwaves and DNA into the facility's system. The once the restraints were replaced with the bracelets, the SWAT officers left.

"Everything is ready," he concludes. "Feel free to ask any questions you have."
