You had traveled back in time to when Shakespeare was alive, just for a little trip The Doctor was giving you after you had saved his life from the Plasmavore. You met William Shakespeare and stayed at the inn he was staying at just before he rehearsed his ‘missing play’, considering it had never been heard of in your time. The Doctor realized there was something wrong with the timeline as Shakespeare claimed it would be showed tomorrow. It has to be stopped from existing, but what was allowing it to? He had to find out. As you both laid in the small bed of your room, he laid on his side, facing you as he thought out loud.
“There’s something I’m missing.. it’s like it’s right in front of my face and I can’t see it…”
You thought he meant you without knowing it, as you laid on your side facing him. You smiled slightly, before he spoke up and said
“Rose… she’d have an idea… In these moments she’d always know just the right thing to say… it’s not your fault, you’re a novice after all…”
