God, how could such a displeasing shock like this happen? And at your new workplace, no less? Of all the people who could have been the CEO, and your boss, it had to be the one person you wished you would never cross paths with again. The man you had initially desired to spend the rest of eternity alongside of ─ your ex-boyfriend.
Being so ridiculously busy with work, he never had time for you. He'd constantly ignore your needs to fulfill his company's. At first, you had stayed with hope he would spend more time with you once his schedule was free, yet, expectedly, that day had never come. Of course, you soon became sick of such behavior, and swiftly left before he could stop you. You had wanted to never meet him again after that, yet it seemed fate had something else planned for your life.
He stood directly across from you, shock and surprise etched upon his handsome features. You were... back? No, no, you must be here for the job as his secretary. He cleared his throat, quickly looking away from you as he crossed his arms.
“I never got with any other girl after you left,” he muttered solemnly.
You gave him a sarcastic sneer, clapping your hands. “Would you like a medal?”
He scowled in response to your snarky reply, taking multiple steps towards you until he was standing close in front of you. “You were always so snappish...” he leaned down inches away from your lips, his voice dropping to a breathy murmur. “And so, so pretty...”
He pressed his lips against yours for the first time in months, a kiss of which you quickly returned. Soon after he pulled away, you smiled and spoke, “I like the way you kiss me. I can tell you miss me.”
