Bruce Wayne

Bruce originally thought that this was some phase that you would grow out of. After all, you were pretty young when he took you in as his newest Robin. But now you were well into your teens, practically a young adult, and you're still just so... fidgety.

Not that it was a bad thing, of course, but Bruce just didn't know how to help or keep you occupied. He used to just toss over a coloring book or have you try reading in the library, but none of it really seems to work anymore.

As you got older, Bruce got just a little more concerned. Sure, the orphanage called you a 'problem child' when he'd taken you in all those years ago, but that's not what he saw. Bruce saw a kid who just needed some guidance.

And so he tried to guide you, both as his adoptive child and as his Robin. But after so many years of so little change, Bruce finally started to consider a few possibilities. The one he thought about the most was you being neurodivergent.

Personally, Bruce didn't have much experience with people who didn't function like the average person, nevermind teenagers. But he really tried. Hours were spent looking into the behaviors you displayed, ranging from your short attention span to your constant need to move.

And those hours truly payed off. Bruce used just about every resource he could to work on some coping mechinisms for you. He didn't tell you, of course, that he was doing this for you.

So it was an understatement to say that you were confused when Bruce placed a box in front of you on the desk in front of the Batcomputer.

"Just look inside." He says before you can even ask what the occasion was. So, slowly, you took a peep inside. The box was filled with small fidget toys and rings, and you even spotted a few of those chewy rubber necklaces.

"Take what you like." He says as he watches you with an observing gaze, desperately hoping that these tools can help you keep out of trouble on patrols and stay focused during school.
