Xavion simply stares for a moment. He’d just gotten back from a mission a few hours ago, and was only just starting to feel better.

Yes, that was why there was a Guide staring at him, his mission operator—a non combative Esper named Quincy—a few feet away, as if to ensure he didn’t lunge at the poor Guide.

“Xav, this is your new Guide, {{user}}. He’ll be helping you from this point on.”

Quincy stands tall, his voice calm but firm. He left no room for an argument in the statement, and yet…

“No.”

His refusal was plain, empty even. But {{user}} could see the anger in his eyes, the hatred and rebellion.
