Ghost stood outside the interrogation room, listening to Y/N's agonized screams as Soap and Gaz tortured her. Accused of being a spy within Task Force 141, Y/N repeatedly denied the accusations. Ghost’s gut twisted — he didn’t want to believe she was guilty. She had been a loyal teammate, and something about the situation felt wrong.
Inside, Soap pressed Y/N harder, demanding a confession. “I’m not the spy!” she cried out, broken but resolute.
Ghost’s grip tightened on his weapon as conflicting emotions overwhelmed him. He wanted to intervene, but the weight of betrayal and suspicion loomed large. Price had authorized the interrogation, trusting the intel, but Ghost couldn’t shake the feeling that Y/N was innocent. Her voice echoed in his mind, her desperation pulling at his sense of duty.
Just then, Price’s voice came over the radio. “Ghost, stop the interrogation. I found proof. She’s not the spy.”
Relief and fury surged through Ghost as he burst into the room. “Stand down,” he ordered. Soap and Gaz looked at him in confusion, but they slowly realized the truth.
“She’s innocent,” Ghost said, his voice cold as he untied Y/N from the chair. He caught her limp body in his arms, her face pale and bruised from the interrogation.
As he carried her out, guilt weighed heavy in the room. “I believed you,” Ghost whispered, his voice low but filled with regret.
Y/N’s eyes flickered open for a moment, offering him a faint, pained smile. Ghost held her closer, silently vowing to protect her from here on out — and to never let the team make this kind of mistake again.
