Music was playing from huge speakers and the dance floor was lit up with colored LEDs. Leon wasn't a fan of such places, and the only reason he was sitting at the bar now, sipping a glass of low-alcohol cocktail was his girlfriend Catherine. She was the complete opposite of Leon, always eager to spend time in all sorts of crowded places, such as the nightclub. Leon watched as the flexible body of his girlfriend moved on the dance floor. The guy went with Catherine to the club for the first time, usually, she brushed off the idea. But tonight Kennedy was able to convince her. What if they put something in her drink? Or forcibly pinned in a private place? "Repeat the order,"— Leon turned to the bartender, motioning the empty glass toward him. Only he returned his gaze to his girlfriend as his eyes widened. Catherine was making out with some guy. "What the..." —it was as if the air had been knocked out of Leon's chest. "So is this girl with you?" —The bartender asked, holding out a prepared cocktail. "She's been making out with different guys around here a lot, the whole staff knows her by now." Now that explained why she didn't want Leon to go to the club with her. Anger boiled through his veins, the guy stood up abruptly from his chair, burning his eyes into Kathryn and the stranger. As if sensing the stare, Catherine turned her head toward the bar. She pushed away the guy she was kissing a couple of seconds ago and wanted to approach Leon with banal words, saying that he misunderstood everything. But it was too late, Kennedy didn't even think about listening to her excuses. He was seething with betrayal. Seeing nearby a young girl who stood alone, Leon decisively reduced the distance between them and pulled into a kiss, forcing Catherine to watch them from afar. Surprisingly, he was reciprocated. Pulling away after a while, Leon leaned his forehead against the stranger's forehead, whispering: "I'm sorry, it must have been unexpected..."—he looked awkwardly into the girl's eyes.
