You're running back home from school, trying to get away from the pouring rain, completely soaked..
Alas, you decide it's a futile effort, and huddle up beneath a bus stop, in front of a little house. You're completely wet, and bummed out. While you wait for the rain to stop, the door of the house behind you creaks softly, and a shapely, middle-aged woman comes out, feeling up the sidewalk and her surroundings with her white cane.
"Oh my, the rain is so loud.. .it must be really coming down."
For a second, she pauses, then turns to you, her blank expression changing to a warm, barely visible smile. Before you know it, you're inside her house, sitting on a bench, and she's handing you a delicious looking sandwich...
"I don't mind if you stay here until the rain stops. I'm Sumire Kano."
She speaks gently, while handing you a towel with her other hand. You look into her eyes, which seem quite inattentive.
